• 2022-2023 Winter Group Show

    The opening reception of the ALC Winter Friends & Family Show was held Dec. 11 at the Chatham Township Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham Township. In addition to an exhibition of artwork by the general membership, the reception included a solo show featuring watercolors by Deborah Fennelly in the Lundt-Glover Gallery and a holiday boutique.  The artwork in the solo show, “Seascapes, Landscapes and More,” and the general membership show will remain on display at the municipal building during regular business hours through mid-March.     The Opening Reception for the ALC Winter Friends & Family Show will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building at 58 Meyersville Road in Chatham Township. This show will include a holiday boutique, a solo show featuring watercolors by Deborah Fennelly, and exhibition of artwork by the general membership and their invited guests. The solo show, “Seascapes, Landscapes and More,” will be in the Lundt-Glover Gallery and the general membership show will be in the strolling gallery. Kings Road Band will play at the reception.   • 2022 Fall Show

    The Opening Reception of the ALC Fall Show will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham Township. The show will feature “Dutch Stuff,” a solo exhibit of watercolor paintings by James Van Duzer, in the Lundt-Glover Gallery and an exhibit of artwork by the ALC general membership in the strolling galleries. The Opening Reception for the solo show “Dutch Stuff,” will feature Dutch treats from a Dutch-American bakery and recordings of music on Dutch street organs, which are similar to calliopes.   The show is free, open to the public, and handicapped accessible.   • 2022 Spring Show

    The ALC Spring Show, which opened on March 20, features a Wall of Sunflower Art, to display the league’s solidarity with Ukraine, and Sally Abbott’s “Covid Series” solo exhibit.  The sunflower art, the solo exhibit paintings, and artwork by the general membership will all remain on display and on sale Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham Township until summer. Part of the proceeds from the sunflower art will be donated to UNICEF for its emergency response effort in Ukraine. Below are scenes from the Opening Reception of the Spring Show.

  • Sunflowers for Ukraine

    ALC members are displaying their sunflower artwork on this page in solidarity with Ukraine. There will also be a special area at the upcoming Spring Show displaying members’ sunflower art.  The Opening Reception for the Spring Show is Sunday, March 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road, Chatham Township. The art will remain on display at the building until summer.

  • Gallery Talk on Animating Art

    Maia Kumari will give a gallery talk, entitled “Animating Art,” Monday, March 7, from 2 to 3 p.m. at her exhibit, “Moving Light,” in the Lundt-Glover Gallery at the Chatham Township Municipal Building.   She will discuss taking art into the digital realm, incorporating virtual reality and NFTs (art sold in the cryptocurrency market).   The talk is free and open to the public. The municipal building is located at 58 Meyersville Road in Chatham Township.    Attendees are asked to adhere to Covid protocols in place at the building at that time.
