Nancy Kingman
Nancy Kingman enjoys being outdoors and finds inspiration for her paintings in nearby parks and nature preserves. Many of her landscapes were started en plein air at places like Jockey Hollow and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and then finished in the studio. Other scenes are from some of her favorite places in Cape Cod and along the Delaware River. In all of them, she tries to capture the light and atmosphere, and some of the magic of being in that spot at that particular moment.

Philla Barkhorn
Philla Barkhorn grew up in Summit, NJ. Her grandfather, Peter Helck, was a renowned illustrator. An interested and capable artist as a teenager, Philla continued to study and produce art while she and her husband raised three children. Once the youngest started school in 2006 she was able to invest time in serious and intense study of portraiture. She is very grateful to have been able to study with some of the tri-state’s finest artists, such as Monica Baumann, Daniel Greene and Gregory Mortenson. You can view more of Philla’s artwork at the Daily Paintworks and her website.

Harriet Kushins
The camera lens captures our surroundings and permits me as an observer and photographer to provide an expressive perspective on the world. I find myself focusing on nature’s beauty through my travels. It gives me the opportunity to observe, to step back, reflect, linger and capture beauty in different spaces. The image I see through the lens leads me to explore a subject – its angles, space and light to reveal this complex relationship to others. I strive to make these images visually moving, providing a sense of wonder and beauty for others, as they have for me. Some of my work is minimalist, simple images. My work attempts to…

Celeste Fondaco
Celeste has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a pencil and has painted as a hobby for most of her adult life. It is only in the last 15 years that she has become more involved in the art community and actively shows her work. Oil or acrylic is her medium of choice for her large scale floral paintings. She also enjoys working in pastels, watercolor and clay on occasion.
